Our reaction to the reports of local break-ins, especially home invasions, is of dismay. I grew up in Cedar Grove in a time where we did not need to lock ourselves in our own house. Of course, we had a Great Dane named BB who could scare most people away with his size alone. We urge people to lock their doors, particularly garage service doors. We also urge people to consider beefing up that door with a deadbolt lock. Most garage service doors are way too easy to pry open. Having a firearm for home protection is not for everyone. For those who do choose to protect themselves, their property, and their loved ones, we recommend you stay well trained, well prepared, and well practiced.
