Topics covered in class; trigger control, including trigger reset and follow through, dry fire basics and emphasis on Self-Defense. Cost: $49
Format: 1-hour in classroom, 1-hour LIVE Fire (on-range)
Required Prerequisite: Completed Blackhawk’s Intro to Pistol course
Required Materials/Gear: Pistol or Revolver, case, snap-caps, and 100-150 rounds of ammunition.
Cost: $49 for the class. If a minimum of 5 people is not met, the class will be rescheduled. Additional ammunition can be purchased in-store.

Business Park Dr., Oostburg, WI 53070 ![]() This is a high-level overview of everything you need to know to start shooting your handgun and to be a responsible handgun owner. This course is also a great refresher for anyone who hasn’t fired a handgun in a few years to experienced shooters. This 2-hour class is broken down into a 1-hour in-classroom safety and instruction and a 1-hour “on-the-range” drills and skill builder to practice and reinforce the material from the classroom portion. The course includes but is not limited to, firearm safety practices, covering the basics of shooting, muzzle discipline, trigger control, and the importance of stance and grip. Required Gear: Pistol or Revolver, 50-100 rounds of ammunition.

A certificate will be given to each to send to the State to apply for your license.
